UPPCL Recruitment  Notification 2021:-

  Online Applications are invited from Eligible Indian Nationals for direct recruitment to the following posts of Assistant Engineer (Trainee)  and  Junior Engineer (Trainee) under E&M cadre against category–wise vacancies for Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. (UPPCL) . Application received through any other modes is not acceptable.

UPPCL AE & JE Vacancy:-

Essential Qualification:-

 For Assistant Engineer(Trainee) of (E&M)Cadre: 

(i) Candidates should have sufficient knowledge of Hindi in Devnagri Lipi.

(ii)Electrical Engineering Category: A degree in Electrical Engineering or a mixed discipline 

CH)degree combined with Electrical Engineering.

(iii) Electronics and Tele–communication Engineering Category: A degree in Electronics 

Engineering or Communication Engineering or Tele–communication Engineering or Mixed Discipline  degree combined with either Electronic Engineering Communication Engineering or Tele–communication Engineering.

(iv) Computer Science Engineering Category: A degree in Computer Science Engineering or 

Information Technology or a mixed discipline  degree combined with either Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology

For Junior Engineer (Trainee) under E&M cadre:

(A) Candidates must produce a certificate from the head of the institution from which he passed out or 

from a gazzated officer in Uttar Pradesh that he can read and write Hindi in the Devnagri Script with ease, provided that such a certificate will not be necessary in the case of a candidate who passed the High School or an equivalent examination with Hindi or who has obtained a degree, diploma or Certificate of any Hindi examination from an institution recognized by state Government.

(B) A candidate must have passed : i) “Three years Diploma examination in Electrical Engineering awarded by the Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh or a Diploma, equivalent thereto, recognized by the State Government.” 

OR ii) “Three years All India Diploma Examination in Electrical Engineering conducted by the All India 

Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Govt. of India” 

OR iii) “Diploma Examination in Electrical Engineering conducted by any of the Universities in India 

incorporated by an Act of the Central/State legislature

For Assistant Engineer(Trainee) of (E&M)Cadre: 

Pay Scale :As per 7th pay commission:- {Pay Matrix Level–10; Rs. 59500 (minimum level in revised pay matrix)}. Dearness and other allowances admissible as per rules of UPPCL

For Junior Engineer (Trainee) under E&M cadre:

Pay Scale : As per 7th pay commission {Pay Matrix level–7; Rs. 44,900/– (minimum level in revised pay 

matrix)}. Dearness and other allowances admissible as per rules of UPPCL. 

Age Limit :-

  Assistant Engineer :-    Minimum 21 years and maximum 40 years as on 01–01–2021.

  Junior Engineer  :-    Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years as on 01.01.2021. 

A. Relaxation in upper age limit: ( Assistant Engineer)

1.  Apprenticeship training under Apprenticeship Act 1961– Actual period of apprenticeship, subject to maximum 12 months.
2.  OBC (non–creamy layer) /SC/ST of Uttar Pradesh domicile –5 years.
3.  Dependents of Freedom Fighter of Uttar Pradesh domicile –5 years.
4.  Physically Handicapped candidates (Disability type–OA/OL/PB/PD only) As per rules of U.P. Govt.– 15 years. However maximum age of a candidate availing all relaxations shall not exceed 55years.

B. Relaxation in upper age limit ( Junior Engineer)

1.  Apprenticeship training under Apprenticeship Act, 1961– Actual period, subject to maximum 24 months.
2.  “SC, ST & OBC (NCL)” of Uttar Pradesh domicile–5 years.
3.  Ex–Servicemen who had served a minimum of 5 years in Armed Forces of India–(Completed service years+ Three years)- Maximum 15 years.

NORMALIZATION METHOD Normalized Score for each candidate (Xn) 

Below is the formula that is used in the calculation of the normalized scores of the multisession papers. 

Xn= =S2/S1*(X – Xav ) + Yav

S2 : Is the Standard Deviation of the shift with the Highest Average Score taken as base for normalization

S1: Standard Deviation for the corresponding shift (to be scaled to S2) 

X : Raw score of a candidate 

Xav : Simple average of the candidate Shift

Yav : Average corresponding to shift with highest Average (taken as base for normalization)
